Cheyenne Hehr's Got That!

So here it is.. sincere apologies for this taking so long to get posted, due to technical difficulties getting this rendered and onto Youtube was much more of an ordeal than expected. Cheyenne and I have been working on this for a little while now. I was originally going to post it on Luke Connor Media, but decided to wait to put it onto this blog and put some extra time into it while I was at it. With that being said, I hope all that wait was worth it and you guys dig it!! Ppppeaacee!

Long Weekend Holla!

   Another long weekend has arrived! One more full day to get productive is the best, especially when sun is in the forecast! Get yo skate on!!

My Saltspring homie Luke Hylands came to town last weekend for just a few hours to try and get a photo. After checking out a couple previous spots, we eventually ended up at the hooker ledge. Luke came at this ledge from the other side and ollie'd over into nosegrind and popped out to a clean rollaway, and was right off back home!

   We randomly ended up finding this spot after trying to find a dollar store in a multi-million dollar developement area...turned out to be the headquarters.. we didn't get drinks and batteries, but we did end up finding a flatbar alongside a window which made for a dope photo, with some help from Leon Breton.

Alley Hustlin'

I always find when I shoot in an alley the shot tends to come out a lil' more raw and interesting. Probably because its hella ghetto with bums, garbage and they're always dark because of the shade. I had always wanted to shoot at this spot and Henri finally gave me the opportunity! It was pretty sweet cause this drunk ass native lady decided that my pants needed to be pulled over my shoes while I was laying on the ground, I didn't really agree but I let her do her thing. Dane also got a mini back massage out of the deal I think he was pretty stoked, who doesn't want to be touched by dirty drunk ladies?

Now this alley I was skating with Isaac definitely had a better vibe going on. It was probably the flower someone painted on the door that helped bringing some color and life to the place. Isaac threw down this perfectly balanced front board pretty quickly after he started getting into them and rolled away with a smile on his face!

Where's the Blue?

What's up with this terrible summer weather we've been getting? Too hot to skate for two days after a long spree of Spring weather, then right back to subpar temperatures and cloudy skies.. I want blue skies!! On this particular day, the clouds overhead weren't too promising either, but I had worked all day and just wanted to get out and shoot. I met up with Cheyenne to skate this fence turned flatbar in a used car lot, hoping to get something before the rain came down. After a bit of a struggle figuring out how to do the trick (this was the first time he has tried it), Cheyenne rolled away from a front feeble pop out, which we quickly proceeded to film in a few quick tries.. got productive and beat out the weather!!

Set It Off!
