Be Careful What You Wish For

Having been injured for just over a week now, I'm already starting to feel disconnected from the routine of the "real world". I woke up this morning unsure of what day it was, with no obligations, and no worries; asides from having to make rent and all that stuff, I'm feeling pretty good about my situation. About a week before I slammed, I was talking to a friend and mentioned, "I wish I didn't have to work for a month or two so I'd be able to unwind and clear my thoughts". Turns out I got what I wished for, just wasn't exactly how I wanted it to happen.
I'd been wanting to shoot something on the natural quarter pipe in James Bay for some time, and when I was looking for people to go shoot with and Mat Howell was at the park, I figured this might be my chance. This spot is harder to skate than it looks because you need to place your board on the runup, run along the sidewalk and jump onto your board just to get enough speed to get to the top of the tranny. Regardless of the spot handicaps, Mat came through with this bs boneless at the tip of the iceberg!
