Playing With Fire

I wanted to shoot this photo in between the fence and the gate, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a decent angle without being in the shot myself. I really wanted the photo to look a certain way though, so over the fence I went. Lifting up the chain link and sliding my camera underneath, my hands were pinned between the fence and the ground, with my camera right in the line of fire for Rich Redman's Fs 5-0. With the inability to pull my camera away if things got hectic, I can't say I was too surprised when Rich's board came crashing down on my lens a couple times. Luckily the fisheye I was using is super small with a plastic hood so no damage was done. If I had been using my main fisheye setup on the other hand, things would not have been so pretty.
